DUSK

The Sun slips beneath
A skirt made of clouds
And begins to fade

Leaves stand motionless
On the branches
Silence

Slowly I eat
While gazing through the window
To watch the Light
Grow dim along the tree tops

Nothing
Can be heard in the distance

Thanks Selma. The evening was very peaceful and calm, and I was trying to convey that.

i envy you your direct connection to nature... i am for the most part trapped inside the human,, and cannot see the proverbial forest for the trees...

i love being surrounded by nature,, but i love it for the privacy it allows me,, and not so much for the beauty i am able to find in nature itself...

Hi Paisley . When I am in Cali. I love to go out with a book on native plants. The rural and isolated areas of CA. have so much to offer. You may want to buy a book on CA. natives and see what little gems you can find growing around where you live. Just a thought.
