Face rock, cornerstone
And fill
Of these stones
The wall must have all 3
So it will stand
Close to eternity
Cement
Fills the inside
To keep it standing
Against the tide
I learned from the wall
About life today
We need more than one strength
to keep us from sway
The outward look
The inner strength
The ability to turn
And at the end of our life
To dust we return

i think the key to this piece is in this line.. what a moment of insight.. oh i just love pieces like this that cause a light to go on in my head......
And the lightbulb moment for me was 'so it will stand close to eternity.' Just lovely!
